Just bought a 2002 F150 w/5.4 engine. Thinking of putting an aftermarkrt ignition system in but I don't know which one. Any suggestions?

 

Thats a good question.

Its got that coil over plug ignition.. if i am correct. I am not too sure, but your gonna need something like, MSD Digital 4 or 8, or Jacobs Electronics Digital something... I don;t think it makes a great big difference. You'd probably be better off buy a Hypertech Programmer. Or a Superchips for the puter. I am curious too, I wanna put an aftermarket Ignition in my 97 as well. Please let me know what you decide to do

I think that after 98 the ignition systems that come stock on the trucks are pretty good. Save your money and contact Mike Troyer about a Superchip.
