airforce 1-service engine light
installed a airforce 1 yesterday--- had a lot of leaking and the truck ran poorly. today the service engine light came on. i fixed all the leaks and now it runs great. will the light go out or do i need to do somethoing else. 2 days ago had it service and the computer flashed to a new upgrade. i fell the light is because of the airforce leaking and nothing else is wrong but would like to see the light go out. will it sence that the airforce is ok now and go out on its own. please help or its back to the dealer to get it shut off.

Just reset ther computer by disconnecting the negative battery cable. After disconnecting, turn the headlight switch on for about 5 minutes or so. Turn the light switch back OFF and reconnect the battery. The reset the clock 
It should do the trick just to disconnect and reconnect but just in case, the headlight switch, although the lights won't come on, will ensure any residual current is gone.

If the fault has been corrected the MIL lamp will shut off after 3 consecutive drive cycles are completed without a fault. If you wish to reset the PCM then disconnect the battery for a minimun of 5 minutes. Resetting the PCM will clear all the Keep Alive Memory so your idle and fuel trim values will have to be relearned. Not a bad idea if you installed an Airforce 1.
