oil filter relocation

Post oil filter relocation

I am wondering where the best place for relocation of the oil filter. I have a '97 4.6. thank you for any help.

I thought about one of those. I was thinking how easy it would be to just slide under the truck, reach up along the framerail and take the filter off. I then thought about how the extra length in the system might affect engine oiling capabilities (oil pressure). My idea was that the farther you have to pump it and then pump it back the harder it would be on the engine.

where is your filter now? Mine is behind the front bumper and it's a piece of cake to change!
