Question swapping 4.6 for a lightning,HOW?

I want to swap my old 4.6 for a lightning engine. Where would I start? Where would I find an engine, and what are ALL the parts I would need to do it. Any help would be great!

HOW????

you see that little button up top that says "Search"

Utilize it
Sorry for the blunt comment.

You can use the search feature and you will find lots of information already covered on this swap. It'll cost lots of money in the long haul.

Welcome jmany,

Most of the memers here are very helpful. Such as the one who offered you a phone number to call him.

Hang around and you'll find some assistance.

The poster makes his first post on this forum and you give him crap. Check your attitude Talley. No body is impressed with you or your six banger.

Speaking of growing up, how mature is it to go off calling someone names ans being a complete jackass.

It would be interesting to read some opinions and ideas on this swap.

My first thought is that for the expense of making this change, one might be able to do some upgrades and get darned close to the lightning performance. Even with a super charger, it seems the expense is lower to do mods to get her up to that H.P. range.

What do ya'll think?

Cool

I'm with Rock, if you can't say something nice or helpful then don't post at all. End of conversation !!!!!!!!!!!! He is new to the board and you jump all over him. Too me that is just rude !!! And especially when it comes from a Senior Member ????? Grow up !!!!!!!!

Have Fun & Keep on Truckin'

Welcome jmany.

Glad to see another person from the New Orleans area. Good luck with the swap, but maybe you should consider just beefing urs up to Lightning power. With the L engine your gonna have to do some major stuff and use a L computer. Good luck either way you go.

Now before you jump in and defend your hero, think about how you would have felt if your very first post here was greeted with a response like the one Mr. wackoff gave to that poster.
In spite of some of you smart a$$es, this forum will remain friendly to new members.

Put that in your beer can.

Hero, don't make me laugh! if anyone that honor would go to John Force. In my first post I was never welcomed here. And some people are just sarcastic by nature. I have talked to Talley before and that is just the way he is, you were rude on purpose. Now bringing yourself down to that level is being more childish than eveyone else on this thread. And I drink my beer out of bottles, not cans...thankyou
