Hello ,
I am trying to replace my water pump in my 97 F-150 4.6 .
My Question is how do i get thh clutch/fan assembly off the water pump.
I thought by taking out the four 10mm bolts out would do the trick.Not so.
Could any one please point me in the right direction.
Any help would be very appreceiated.

You need the special Ford fan tools. One to hold around the 4 bolts, the other to turm the hex end of the fan. You can borrow the tools from murrays or another auto store for free.

If I remember correctly the you turn the nut counterclockwise when facing the engine from the front.
