Question Time for a locking gas cap?

Had a few reports in the area about stolen gas already with these damn rising prices.
At near $40 to fill up I don't want to find my tank on empty in the morning.
How are the Ford locking caps for the 01's?
I never had the "non-clicking" gas caps before.

Try Napa, I got mine for $30.00. We recently had a problem with some kids in the apartment complex sticking rocks and trash in people's gas tanks.

Just go to your dealer and order one, the locking ones are very cool have a chrome type ford emblem that covers the key slot from debris entering very sleek looking, and honestly get one

I brought this up in the "General Discusions" area a couple of weeks ago. I didn't get any info on '01s but there is some on '00s...

I've got the 'Ford' locking gas cap. As mentioned, it has a nice looking logo on it and it works well. I think I paid ~$20 at the dealer.

A locking gas cap has always been a good idea.

A dozen mothballs in a gas tank = dead engine.

Skyhawk, that was tha first one that I have seen that made me LOL.
Hey, insect2 has a good alternative to moth *****. Check it out.
As far as the topic at hand, I live in the country where I don't think it is likely that someone will try to steal, locking gas caps have always been a good idea.

Yeah I seen that mothball post. What a crock. They also said that if you can't find Autolite racing plugs to get the Platinum Pro's and cut the tip of them. Let's see.. hassle to find plugs I want vs 2800 for new engine, ummmm.... I'll take the hassle of finding the right plugs. You should never have to regap a platinum plug you will just mess them up.( which you would have to after cutting electrode off)
