an additinal note:

if you want noticable gains, nitrous is by far the best bang for the buck.

Now that I think about it I seem to remember seeing something like this at the dragrace museum down in Florida. If I'm not having some sort of halucinogenic flashback the engine in this dragster (built in the 50s or 60s) ran only on compressed air. The thought was that the blower robbed HP from the motor. The air tank was about 15 feet long. Obviously it wasn't super successful or they would still be around.

Can anybody tell me if I just imagined this?

Nomo,

I have checked out clifford performance. All they have for my truck is a header and a cam. I have heard that the header won't help too much because the stock exhaust manifold is already pretty efficient compared to other manifolds. And i don't want to pull the engine on my daily driver to change the cam.

Most of the stuff clifford offers is for carburated I6's.
