Regardless of BRAND, you need to make sure that the oil meets/exceeds FORD'S specification (long number/letter combo) AND has the API "starburst" certification.

Just meeting/exceeding the "SJ" type ratings for an oil is insufficient as Ford no longer recognizes that rating system as valid!

Read your owner's manual carefully and read the oil bottle's label even more carefully.

I have used nothing but Redline for the past 13 years in 7 vehicles. Great stuff. They are a performance oriented company and most of their testing is done on the race track. Very expensive, but worth every penney.

I work in Death Valley with temps in the summer constantly in the 110-120 range. Constantly running my vehicles 80 to 100mph in these temps and never have had any problem with my F150 or 99 Miata.

Web site for Redline is redlineoil.com. Some suppliers actually sell products for less than buying direct from Redline.

Added a Ford bug deflecter, floor mats, a Dynamax Race magnum muffler and 3" mandrel bent pipes, Superchip, K&N FIPK Gen II, Bilstein shocks, Redline Synthetic oil, Kenwood stereo system, an MTX Thunder 204 4 channel amp, ProComp AT 33/12.50/17 tires and 17X8 American Racing Python wheels.
