Question Velocity tube?

This may sound like a stupid question, but what exactly is a velocity tube. I have installed a K&N filter into my factory air box and have done the Do-it-yourself airbox mod that was posted here a few months ago. (where you remove the factory airbox and mount the K&N open in the engine compartment.) I have since went back to the factory airbox and K&N just to see if there is any difference in gas mileage. I have also read info. about using 3" PVC and mounting that into the fender hole? I cannot get to WMSracing.com to check out their velocity tube. I have no clue what it is or what it does but figure this is where i will find out.
Thanks for the info.

The WMS velocity tube is basically the same as the K&N FIPK kit or the Air Raid intake kit. It is a metal tube that replaces your stock intake, and it allows the engine to receive more air through the intake, thus increasing power and efficiency, and through efficiency comes gas mileage. I've had the WMS velocity tube on my truck for approx. a week, and I think it's great. Looks good, sounds good, and the little increase in gas mileage I have noticed is welcome. I've noticed a little more pep there too, which my girlfriend thinks is just in my head. Anyways, all in all a great product, and I'm very happy with it. Anyways, hope that can help.
