97' SC flareside ORP 4x4 4.6l auto. 51,000. K&N filter. Not sure on gears, there's been too much snow to check till recently.
My mileage sucks! I had modified my airbox after reading a post about it in here. I just switched back to the factory box with the K7N filter. I was averaging 300 miles to tank with mod. Usually before the light comes on. I haven't checked in awhile but it was about 14mpg hwy. I know I haven't gotten 15 mpg yet. My daily drive is 23 miles one way. About 18 is on the highway. Any suggstions on how I can improve mileage. nws is saying CT gas will hit $2.00 a gallon this summer! Ouch! Please help

My supercrew 5.4 is now getting 14.5-15 mpg mixed driving at is at 1200 miles. A friend here at work has a Super Crew and just dove down to mexico from the bay area and was getting 18.5 mpg with a 5.4. [highway driving at 75 mph]. He is at around 11,000 miles.
