Post Airaid vs. Air Force One...

...I'm liking the air force one a little bit better than the airaid just due to the looks and style. Even though the Air force one is 40 bucks more what are your guys take on them?

don't they both pretty much give the same performance?

the airorce one looks pretty cool.do yo know that volant also makes one for our 4.2?Th hp gains are rated slightly on the volant(wich I can't figure out why because they are the same style. truck performance dot com has them( no picture though).

I went with Airaid because I couldn't see the extra $$ for the looks. Although it looks great, I had to ask, "how often will anyone see mine". If you haven't seen one installed, click on the link at the end of my sig. I have 3 or 4 pictures of it installed on my Expy.

not positive but i think the AF-1 meets the CARB emissions standards. airaid doesn't.

it should increase your hp just a tad more

I installed the AF-1 on my truck. For two reasons. The solid one piece tube and the looks. As far as performance diff. I don't know of any. I check under the hood of my truck every fuel stop and and the AF-1 is still rock solid. Good luck in your choice

Hey,

I'm not sure you'll see much difference in the performance of one to the other. However, the AF1 looks awesome. Everyone that has seen it compliements me on it, and hell that alone is worth it!

The fact that it is one peice is also a nice feature, but the bottom line is the looks.

Just my opinion.

I don't know about the Airraid, but the AF-1 also makes the engine have a nice deep sound

I've been trying to find a picture of the AF-1. Can't find. I've seen the Air Raid and K & N offering. I might go the the AF 1 as well if I could see what it looks like. Anyone have any pics.

Cool

Somebody posted pics of the af1 about three months ago. It looks like the airaid except it is shiney. The airaid is also a solid tube like the af1 and was easy to install.

Don't discount Airaid. Click on the link at the end of my sig and look at the Airaid pics. I have pics of the mounting bracket as well. It's very solid!

I also like the powder coated metal tube; it looks great.
