Question

Well let me throw some gas on this flame. I read in another section here that the K&N intake system was the best because it was made of plastic and the tube doesn't heat up like the airraid or airforce. Any ideas on that?? Also, I know the airraid uses a K&N filter, does the airforce also??

Thanks guys,
Steve

But the plastic is black, black heats up, absorbs heat faster. A reflective surface (chrome etc) will absorb heat slower, that is why large propane tanks are painted silver or white.

Just got done installing my new AF1 and I feel that the truck responds a little better. The sound is a lot better and the looks are awesome.

Harleysupercrew: Where did you get them clamps that attach the maf sensor to the chome pipe. I like them ones better. -thanks steve

Hi Steveo. Those are good quality clamps, I call them "T" clamps and I think that is what the dealer calls them too but can't recall now for sure. I use those for the plumbing on my Turbo race car. I got them at a local company Hose of South Texas 361.884.9335. They beat the screw type of clamp any day in terms of looks, clamping force and durability. Like I say I use them on my race car and haven't had a problem with the plumbing popping off since I started using them. Take care,
