You guys nailed it on the head, the water is not due to the brand, but to the station (and sometimes to the pipeline delivering the fuel to the station as water is always present in the tanks and should be removed before the gasoline goes to the station). Also the tanker theory is correct to a point-a well maintained tank should not have alot of sediment and the pumps at the stations should have filters similar to your fuel filter to remove particulates coming out of the tank-but I never fill up when I see a tanker either-why take the chance.

NO! I don't work for Chevron and don't use their gas exclusively. Just thought this was interesting.
