OBD/Scan Tools

I am investigating some scan tools for my 98 F-150. I want something more than the ones that can read and decode the error codes. I am also looking for a tool that can monitor most of the sensors.

I have run into the following:

1. Autotap - www.autotap.com
2. x-ray
3. rinda.com - I think they only have a module for Chrysler/GM
4. ?????

Any comments or suggestions???

Thanks,
Jim

Check out:

www.obd2.com and www.obd-2.com (affordable PC software/hardware package).

I don't have one yet but I prefer the www.obd-2.com system as I have access to a notebook computer. The ones for your palm pilot are rip-off priced.

I have an OTC Mindreader. It was OBDI when I purchased it new, but I have since upgraded it to OBDII. The upgrade also allows the same OBDII features, like monitoring sensors, on Ford OBDI vehicles. I love it!

Take care,
