Wierd Hissing Sound

one night my truck made a funny sound while driving and ever since than everytime i push on the throttle i hear a light hissing sound coming outta the dash. Dealer couldnt hear it of course but i sure can. One person told me its just the engine suckin in air, the only thing i cant figure out than is why didnt it do it the first 2 weeks i owned my truck.

anyone else have this slight hissing sound that sounds like its coming outta the driver side dash cluster.

( not sure if this is correct forum to write this thread? )

when you say a/c you mean air conditioning, if so, its not were the sound is coming from, its coming outta the speedo/rpm cluster. Is ther anything over ther that could be making this sounds?

lol....ummm, no vacuum lines actually go to the 4x4 dash switch....just wires. control solenoids for the 4x4 center disconnect are at the RR of the engine compartment, on the firewall , behind the battery. Check for a missing body plug up high under the dash. it's in place of where the clutch master cylinder would be. i have a feeling that when your remote start was installed, they used that hole to fish wires thru to the engine compartment. (i know i do) instead of cutting the inside of the plug, they may have left in out altogether. good luck

I just dont wanna have too rip my dash apart to find nothing wrong back ther
