I was just wandering. Right now im running a 15.2 in the quarter mile and i want to get to low 14's high 13's. Wandering what i could do to help thats not too expensive. Ive got a superchip, cold air, and exhaust.

Definately Gears.. Find out what you have now by looking on the rear end, It should have a small metal tag that will say...

Another idea would be to get a set of Drag Radials for the back tires... ALso A new Torque Converter is awesome.. It will make that 5.4 come alive...

If your interested a small shot of nitrous can be had and that will dip you way down in the 1/4 mile.. Most small kits can be had for less than $500, way cheaper than a Supercharger.. Anyhow just some ideas..

Ooops...didn't read the part about "...not too expensive." ... sorry, the supercharger is not in that category (unless you're independently weathly).

Not sure what your budget can stand but ring
and pinion change would be my choice.

 

Thanks for all the ideas. Right now ive got 3.55 gears. should i try going to 4.10, or is that too much.

If you are running a 15.2 in a 1/4 mile you obviously have to have some kinda expensive mods done????

 

Like i said the only thing s i have done was superchip, cold air, and exhaust. Really i should be running quicker than that but i only have stock tires so all i do is spin. So should i go with the 4.10 gears? And will that limit my top speed. To about what.
