Check Engine Light appeared after installing High Flow Air Intake
Hello,
After having an High Flow Air Intake (Volant) installed on my 5.4L V-8, I noticed a few hundred miles later the Check Engine Light appeared. I checked the engine and sure enough one of the clamps came loose causing unfiltered air to leak into the intake. After tightening the clamp, I expected the check engine light to disappear, but now 300 miles later it is still there.
I was wondering if there is infact still a problem, or if I have to reset the computer (pull the battery). Visually, it looks as if all of the cables and sensors are plugged in properly . I even doubled checked the gas cap.
Thanks

EeyoreLives, I am no expert but when ever I had done anything like that I had to reset the computer. Pulling the neg of the battery and turning the lights on for about 5 min ought to do it. This should reset the computer. Good luck!

Resetting the computer will erase the code. Pull the neg battery cable wait 10 seconds and reconnect. Or
After a set number of driving cycles it will turn itself off.
