Did Chevy offer a 5speed manual behind the 350 in 96 or at anytime?

Yes they did. I have a 96 Chevy Silverado z71 with a 350 and a 5 speed transmission. Tranny says Munzie and also says New Process Gear which came out before the New Venture Gear .

New Process/New Venture Gear made those transmissions in Syracuse, NY.

I was fortunate to have a gearbox made by them folks with the UAW local placard riveted on the tranny for my 2007 Jeep Compass that I got almost to half million miles on the original transmission.

Neat knowing my tranny was made locally, and when the plant was opened, I used to pass on by all the time.
