Well it all depends on how well it was taken care of it it was well cared for like oil changes tune up filters and so on it should go anothe 100 to 150 thousand miles with any trouble.

scott-

If you buy a vehicle at that age/mileage, do yourself a "BIG" favor and front out the money to have it checked out front to back.

my buddy had that exact same yr/engine truck. It is a solid engine, but hey, 116K miles???

At those miles things are gonna break or they are already broken and you don't know it yet...if you are getting it for a song and gonna drop a new motor in it...go for it...if you want to buy it and drive it w/o expecting any further expenses, well, that prolly won't happen....

buying an older truck and fixing it up can be a real blast as long as you have patience and some cash flow...

just my 2 cents....good luck w/your decision!

I don't have a 92 or a automatic but i do have a 302 V8 in my 95 it has 280,000 miles and nothing has broken that me or my father did not cause to break. oil changed every 3000 miles filters tune ups on time. The 302 will run some more it might not be in this truck but it will still run.
