Question Anyone ever hear of TFX headers???

Ok I was searching the internet last night and I came across headers for 200$ on truckperformance.com. They are called TFX black painted steel shorty header. I am just wonderinf if anyone has ever used these and if so what were the HP/ torque gains. I was just wondering if these are too cheap to buy. ok any info will help. thanks!

Yea sboarder i saw those as well and asked a mechanic friend of mine and he had not but he suggested that i go with the coated headers because in michigan the salt will just eat them up and rusty headers dont flow very good! if they use salt in IL it might be something to concider.

If you want to get those check first JCwhitney since they have tha blacks for less than $200.00 and the coated usually at $275.00 or something very close. You can get them as low as $245.00 depending on the catalog. Those are 16ga.

I am waiting to see what's coming out from Hooker Headers.

JMTRUCK-
I looked on Jcwhitney and I couldn't find the headers. I went on there website and their catalog. I just really want to know if its worth the 200 dollars. I need more hp and torque with my small A** 4.6. thanks!

It's just a matter of budget $$$$, performance and durability. I think the heavy gage is important for durability and as for the performance even though there may be some differences I don't think they are huge. JBA's are very expensive and so are other brands.

This TFX (Pacesetter) headers are low priced but they are just 16ga. compared to the JBA's 14ga. And the JBA's have the firecone collector that's supposed to be more efficient. Both have the coating option.

In my last JCWhitney catalog the TFX's are in the truck section in page 56 for $279.95 (coated) less a 15% for placing an order of over $150.00. I think most of the board members would prefer the JBA's but money is a problem sometimes. Some had installed the TFX with complaints and some were very satisfied.

Maybe some of them will come and pay you a visit with comments and their opinions but in the meantime try to do a search here because I know there are some old posts around regarding this.

Hope this helps.
