Question Fuel Filter Replacement

I am having difficulty removing the front fuel line from the filter. I followed the instructions posted under technical articles, but am not having much success. The line coming from the fuel tank comes off just fine with the fule-line disconnect tool. Any tips or tricks would be appreciated.

A mechanic friend of mine tried to replace my fuel filter. He said that the front line needed a smaller removal tool and he didn't have one that small.

I can't really help you with your problem. But I replaced my filter a few weeks ago, and both ends were the same size.

I had the same problem . I bought a disconnect tool from Advanced auto parts . The line comming from the tank came right off but the tool broke trying to remove the line going to the engine. Went to Auto zone they had a different style tool that came in a set with 6 differt sizes. It was a small plastic ring that you slid around the fuel line. It took 3 or 4 try's but it finally came off.I think the secret is to hold the filter & the tool in one hand while pushing in against the line while pulling the line forward with the other hand.Wish you luck.
