what size throtle body would you upgrade to on a 1999 with a 4.6L. where would you get one, and how much are they?

Cool

Hi wesley ihave a 2001 f150 4.6 and im going to get a 75mm throtle body for my truck , you can get them from edelbrock or bbk. im not sure about price but i think there under two hundred dollars . also you want to port match the new throtle body to the intake elbow to get the most performance from it. i hope this helps you out. any more questions just ask. Larry

on a stock or lightly modified engine this is a big waste of time and money. i did the larger throttle body and port match on 5.0 mustang and it did nothing. then i replaced the throttle body on my heavly modified firebird...nothing! i would like to see some one do a before and after dyno run with a throttle body. i suspect the difference would be 3 h.p. or less.

Agreed!... thats why i ported mine, which i did feel an improvement; mainly with throttle response and a little bit when passing vehicles when i'm already going 50+mph... cost a total of 13 bucks for the paddle sanding wheels
