I agree with you. We dont know all the facts yet. Maybe he's installing some white-faced gauges or doing some tinkering with the dash and needs to disconnect the thing LEGALLY to remove another part! HOWEVER, it does sound fishy! Perhaps if you guys hadn't prematurely ejaculated all over yourselves you could have start-off by ASKING HIM WHY. He might have told us before we all assumed. Now we'll never know the truth.

KenStar unless your car is completly stock, then Id sway towards something being illegal on your car in some aspect. Didnt someone say you could buy a car off the showroom floor drive it then get pulled over because it doesnt meet dot standards.
