Question MSD Stacker 8 ??

Has anyone put the MSD Stacker 8 #7020 ignition on a 5.4?? If so, what's the hook up like? What are the performance results? Is it worth the money/effort? I asked this question a year ago and got NO results; I thought I'd try again !!

Cool

HI!... MAX : The last time I called SUMMIT RACING about the MSD STACKER 8 ignition, they told it was not available yet because MSD was having problems with it. It could be out now, I'm not sure. I called about 6 months ago about it. I heard that it's going to be VERY expensive though. I hope not, I use ALL MSD stuff om my PRO STREET RANGER and really like their line of equipment. Let us know what you find out about it.

Thumbs up Neal-

Thanks, I've had good luck with their products as well. I've called and e-mailed them several times in the last year. Here's what information that I've been able to gather. Summit finally has them in stock for $370. Jegs considers this a custom order that is available for $525 (ya right ). MSD's website has some installation guides, but not for this. Their tech line has no information to provide for a 5.4 application and says they aren't set up to provide installation guides (big help ). I found out that the Stacker 8 installation guide is included in other guides and had a friend fax it to me. The install is straight forward. After the general taps, it has 8 separate wires for each cylinder with LED lights on the unit for communication. Each of these 8 wires has to be tapped into one wire from each coil. They also recommend changing the plug gap. Anyway, I'd love to get some feedback from someone on the performance that was or was not obtained.

Cmon Max, go buy one and let us know how it works. I've been waiting and wanting to know the results for a long time now. But splicing one wiring to each coil is alittle scarey.
