I am still in the learning process of truck modifications and have learned of power pulleys. My questions is what exactly do they accomplish and are they worth the money? Also, how hard would they be to put on yourself? Any replies would be appreciated.

 

To put it simply, they change pulley ratios reducing accessory drag on your engine freeing up additional HP. They're well worth it, but down at about #4 on the list of biggest HP per dollar upgrades. If you're not familiar with the installation, read a service manual on harmonic balancer/lower pulley removal, fan removal, and serpentine belt removal; these are the required procedures.
