axle codes?

well seems how we cant search on this website i have to post this question, which i imagine has been posted a billion times. my friend just bought a 2000 xlt supercab 4x4 auto 4.6l. it has an axle code of 27 what is that? also, can you beleive that the dealership he bought it from, which is a huge ford, chevy, dodge, suburu franchise refused to give him a full tank of gas when he bought his truck? what kind of crock is that?

Thumbs down

and he completed the transacation. Why did your friend "reward" that behavior. Does he "reward" his dog when it craps on the carpets too?

Vote with your wallets & feet people.

As they say, "In the end, you generally get just what you deserve"

I think the reason that there are so many "bad" dealers is because a lot of "customers" don't DEMAND better service (that means 'sales & service')

When in the market to buy anything YOU the consumer have all the power. In most cases, like your friends, he could easily found a similar truck without too much hassle. I mean Ford only sells 500,000 plus F series trucks a year.

But then that demonstrates the differances in people as a whole. Many would rather complain rather then take a few very simple steps, well worth the effort to improve their own situation.

Well, I guess I better get down off the soapbox before y'all wrap a rope around my neck and kick it out from under me

any vehicle ive ever bought new or used from a dealer they always filled it with gas. he threw a fit about it but his dealer said, we are only required to make sure it has at least a quarter of a tank. he is not happy and there are some other details he aint happy about. i will find out how he makes out.
