98 F150 4.6 L
Hey guys does anyone have any specific info on the 98 4.6l engine. I would like to know what the advertised HP and Torque is for the engine and at what RPM's. If you would have a dyno chart to post that would be great. I am re-gearing my truck from 3.55 to 4.56 and want to make sure this is the right gear for the 33" tires.
Thanks!
Thanks!
I believe the 98 was 215 HP stock or about 150 HP at the rear wheels. With the chip, headers,K&N, and exhaust, I dynoed at about 240 HP or about 175 at the rear wheels. Here is my latest dyno with the below mods. Hope this helps you.

in '98 the advertized numbers are
220hp @ 4500
290ft-lbs @ 3250
I'm no expert, but 4.56 gears sound like a bit much for just 33's. The truck comes stock with the metric 31" equivalents -right? It sounds like you may be going a little too far. that truck is gonna be hurting if you use the highway much. Do you have a reason for this ratio? Are you a real rock crawler? the 4.10 might be a better option if not
