1997 4.2 40k loosing heat ? HELP
I have a 1997 f150 with a 4.2 v6 and i keep loosing heat,doesn't seem to be any coolant in the oil but dealer said I need a new engine ??? it has 40k miles is this a problem with this year,Thanks

yes this is a problem with the 1997 4.2L v6. they told me my water pump was cracked, i don't know if there was coolant in the oil but its a known problem with this engine after the 'coolant leak fix' is done. less than 200,000 trucks with the problem. hope ford doesn't give you a hassle about paying if you are out of warranty ...
