Question Anybody know how to get a shop manual?

I'm interested in getting a shop manual for my 2000 5.4L. Does anybody have one of those manuals on CD, I would pay to have a copy burned. Where could I purchase a papercopy?

Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt

You should check eBay for auctions of Ford repair info on CD. These are generally older versions of current CD that some Ford Tech has got to keep. Apparently Ford revises the CDs every 6-12 months, and tosses the obsolete ones. I bought one for my '98 for $11 including S&H.

It works pretty good, a little hard to navigate and find some info (it's no wonder the Ford techs can't fix 'em sometimes). I bought a Haynes manual too, it's pretty good with lots of pictures. Actually Haynes manual is better than the Ford CD for routine stuff. CD is good for supplemental info. Beside it's hard to get grease off the keyboard.

The Helms manual is pretty expensive, ~$150 i think.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm cheap, but not that cheap 98 . Couldn't find anything on ebay so I'll bug the dealer I bought my truck from. One question what year can I get away with for my 2000? Can I buy a 1998 or 1999 manual?

Found some 2000/2001 manuals (CD-ROM) on ebay. Currently at $16. Hopefully nobody else bids.
