I put three qts reg oil and three qts synny in. Next time it will be six qts synny. By the 2nd synny oil change comes around, your engine will be "flushed" naturally.

Cool

I have switched to synthetic at the first oil change on many vehicles(never flushing, never a problem), I prefer to break in with conventional oil and to get full use of it as well. My opinion only, Good Luck !!

You don't have enough miles on your truck to warrent an engine flush.

the engine flush is for higher milage vehicles that might be sludged up, so that you can clean the inside of your engine before you switch.

I normally don't recommend an engine flush unless there are excess of 20,000 miles or higher.

Just go ahead and switch to full synthetic at your first scheduled oil changed(3,000) miles and you will be good to go.

Be sure to use a top quality filter like a Mobil 1, Purolator Pur 1, Amsoil SDF, or a AC Delco Ultra Gold.
