AIRAID (will it pass inspection??)
Could anyone please tell me if I will have problems passing the inspection with the AIRAID installed? I've see in a couple of on-line stores that it's not smog-legal, but the K&N is. What's the difference with one another?

Hi Alf,
The Airaid kit does not have 50-state emissions *certification*, but it does not produce any increase in emissions measured at the tailpipe, so outside of California's visual inspection, you should be just fine. It's a great kit that works well, and personally I like it better than K&N's FIPK kit due to a little bit more stable mounting system, though either kit will serve you well and they both make virtually identical power gains, 12 hp on your 4.6 motor.
Good luck!
