F150 vs the "other" three

Can I send my girlfreinds 00 VW New Beetle up to you and you can take it to that great VW dealer up there? Just joking. The closet one to me are plain and simple not up to what I would call a good level. While they treat you nice they seem to say one thing and do another. I have talked to VW headquarters USA and while they have professional approach, they do not seemed to interested in helping you or explaining things. I guess I shouln't exactly completely knock on VW's because of one bad dealer and expereince. I have heard that the Beetle's are one of the worst VW cars for reliabilty and they are built in Mexico. The same person also said if you get a car made in Germany ( Passet maybe) that they are very good cars.
I've already put my .02 in on the truck things and as the saying goes " That's all I have to say about that" Forrest Gump

I just made the switch from a 2001 Supercrew XLT 4x4 (4.6L) to a 2002 Supercrew Lariat 4x4 (5.4L) FX4.....LOVE THIS TRUCK!
I felt that my 2001 Supercrew XLT was a bit to mushy of a ride at times. Switching to the FX4 offroad package, I thought that it gave the Supercrew a better handling ride (cornering and bumps)and din't even come close to considering it a stiff ride.
The nerv of them calling the FX4 package to stiff of a ride.....it's perfect in a truck this weight size if you ask me!

This past weekend I helped the in-laws clean up a brush pile behind their house. while doing this we loaded up my truck (Y2k F150 ORP) and my wife's grandpa's truck (~98 1500) with and hauled the brush away. My WIFE commented about how much cheaper the GM felt than my Ford, especially the flimsy tailgate.
I'm a little late getting into this one....
I don't believe anything those magazines say. They're so biased, it boggles the mind. They don't compare the cars to the other cars, they compare the cars to the car that won last year
Idiots. They're all stupid if you ask me. I only buy the magazines for the pictures......honestly.
On this whole Ford, Chevy, Dodge business.......Maybe i'll catch some flak for this. I think the Chevy's are nicer on the inside than the Fords. They're a little more comfort oriented. But they're built with crappy parts. Cheap plastic dashes, etc. They do have some pretty neat standard equipment like the rearview mirror with the compass and temperature readout build into it, which is standard on all models, and has been for a long time. That's something i wish Ford had. But, the Chevy's do ride like passenger cars. My boss has a 3500 4X4 CrewCab longbox. It's a freakin behemoth. It's got the tow package too. My F150 rides stiffer than it does. The way i figure is......it's a truck....it's supposd to ride stiff. Don't think the Chevy's are built as tough though. You can tell just by looking at the two.
A guy who works at the same place had a '95 Dodge 2500 w/the Cummins diesel. It was a nice truck to look at, and the engine was as strong as an ox, but it was built like crap too. The interior blew.
Now, the Fords....nice interior, but it could use a bit more styling. Definitely build Ford Tough. I still like the body styling. It hasen't gotten old to me yet. But you can beat the ***** outta these things. I'll never own anything else.
The new Dodges are just disgusting though.......ptooey. And like someone else said berore........i also see tons of them sitting at the dealer, and hardly any on the road.
