traction
So I'm looking at getting a f-150 with the big 5.4 V8. The dealer let me take it off the lot alone, so I gave it the full workout. From a dead stop the wheels spun like crazy. How does the lightning (or any of you) get good acceleration from a stand still with no weight in the back end?
What was the year and tire condition? Was it a Limited-Slip rear end? My truck, if floored off the line, spins the tire about once, then takes off. It is a reg cab and not optioned out, so it is relatively light; it does have the LS rear though.

Pis # 5 is about 1500ft of rubber layed down. JMC is the one taking the pictures. What can I say, I was installing new tires that day and figured I might as well have some fun with the old ones!LOL! To answer your traction question : Try not to step on the gas all the way when leaving a light. Just get it going as fast as you can with out tire spin and then nail it!
