I guess I shouldn't bitch anymore. I just got the truck a week ago and I took it on a six hour trip this weekend and got somewhere between 16 to 17 mpg on the highway. It's about the same for the city. I thought I was doing bad but evidently not.

Well, I must say I have been getting around 17.3 with 90% highway driving. I do the posted 65 mph as well. On a trip this weekend I let my (lead Foot) girlfriend drive and she would cruise around 75-80 and stomp on it to pass,(she loves the feeling of Ford power between her legs) and we got a whopping 13.5 mpg. So it does go to show you doing the speed limit will save gas but isn't near as exciting....

Now that you have the Z55, would you like to have the Z33?

I have a supercab 2wd 4.6 5speed with 3.55 and get 625km per tank which is about 400 miles per tank.75% highway and drive 105kmh or 65mph.My previous car was a 94 Mustang GT and I don't find a huge diff in mileage.I am spending about $8.00 more a week on gas.

Was getting 15-15.5 mpg combined city and highway consistently. Added Magnaflow si/do catback and now consistently get 16-16.5 under the same driving. Now, my truck is not fully worn in yet, so some of the increased mileage could be from it getting more worn in.

I am very happy with it all the same. Now, if I got poor performance and the same mileage, I would be ticked off. I think the amount of power I get out of the truck is equitable to the gas mileage and then some.

for '00 SC 4.6L 5spd I've been averaging 15-16 w/ 75% city driving. Last couple tanks w/ the cold weather I'm looking at the 14's. Glad to see I'm not alone! Long term average is around 15.5 mpg.

Best I've seen w/ all highway was 18.7 mpg and worse tank was 14.1 mpg. Have yet to see the 20 mpg highway listed on the sticker. (Sticker was 15 city 20 highway)
