Question quick help please

I can't find the block drain plugs to drain the antifreeze. The manual says they are located about 1-2" above the oil pan, but I still can't find them. I have a '97 4.6 2wd.

Thanks for the help,
josh

Hi, I just posted one on the same subject. The ones on my truck are under the motor mount brackets and need a 8mm driver to be removed. I had a 1992 Crown Vic with a 4.6 which had none in the block. So I am not sure if all trucks have them or not. My truck is a 1997 4wd and I can see them I just can't seem to remove them!

It is probably in your best interest to simply do a drain and fill through the valve in the radiator.

Are you looking at a service manual? What brand?
