Wink

Not that bad on the 4x2. They actually but a drip pan on the cross member that work!!. Hardest part is getting the filter out past the steering linkage. Wipe out the drip pan, fill the new filter with oil, snake it through the linkage and spin it on. I feel sorry for you guys with the 4x4's !

Thumbs up

My recommendation is change to the K&N oil filters and buy a 1" stubby wrench. It has a 1" nut at the end of the filter. It's alot easier getting the filter off.

I never have a problem loosening the filter But I always lube it prior and hand tighten.
I use my cordless drill to drill a hole in the end and drain in a small funnel before removing it to keep spillage down. then I take the plastic bag from the store and reach up and twist off ( if I need to I loosen FIRST with a metal band type wrench)

Angry

Took me over an hour of crawling to find the filter. I felt like an idiot once I did. I passed over it probably 20 times.
