Custom hoods?? Help if you can.
I know this is way off the subject,but I've exhausted all avenues of searching....Help if you can,K?
I have an 86 E-150,in addition to to my 98
150, and have been desperately searching for one of those hoods with the
scoop built in. J.C. Whitney sold them up
until a few years back,but have since discontinued them. I know they are out there somewhere. I need one to continue
the HP quest on my van. The stock intake
tube is about six feet long and changes
direction four times before reaching the TB. I want rig a ram air system but I'm held up by the inability to find one of these
scooped hoods. Sorry to ask here,but you
guys are the best collective of performance stuff on the web. Thanks a

what I'm looking for. It's not a whole hood,but it will probably work. There web
site is under construction so I asked them if they could e-mail a pic of it to me.

go to ebodyparts.com if youre looking for a glass hood. Good prices and models to fit most any vehicle. good luck

I think I looked there already,but all those
fiberglass sites are a blur now. I'll check
again...thanks.
I've never really had a crack free metal to
fiberglass bond. Anyone know the real
secret? I've even tried glassing the scoop
to heavily ground sheet metal,,no luck,,98
Went and checked them out,no dice. But
,,I had no idea you could build a whole 73-79 long bed reg cab truck out of fiberglass!!
Man,,what a sleeper that would be,hehehe. I'm getting ideas again...Now
anyone want a 65 Falcon?
