K&N FIPK: how often should filter be cleaned & oiled?

K&N FIPK: how often should filter be cleaned & oiled?
How often do these filters need to be oiled? Also, how much oil should be used? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Hi GD,
The K&N air filter element is designed to go 30,000 - 50,000 miles between cleaning.
They use a red dye in their oil so you'll know when you have enough oil, & not to use too much of it. When you apply the oil, use it sparingly, just enough to turn the gauze back from white to red. So anywhere you see the red color, do not use any more oil there, you already have enough.
