any tips for high altitude operation?

If anybody can advise me on what F150 I should buy for an altitude of 12,000 feet,or what spare parts are needed.
I am looking at a 98 model but after reading your messages I am worried. I will have a camper installed on top, this will weigh aproximatley 2000 lbs. tahnk you for your comments.
