1990 fuel pump?? Are engine schematics available???
Help, help, help!!!! I have been online searching for over an hour, and this is the closest I have come to actually fulfilling my promise to the OM that I really COULD find some info about his truck online. (Ford.com was useless to me) Today, out of the blue, his '90 F150 straight 6-cyl would not start in my driveway, and his guess is that the fuel pump is out, or has a bad connection. A fruitless search began at that time to locate it, so I truly hope that someone can give me a detailed description of where it's at... soon??? Or if a different problem is suspected. He will be here in the morning (which is fairly shortly at this point) --- Does anyone know if engine schematics are available for viewing online somewhere?? This would be invaluable. Thanks in advance!!!!

Well, he's probably out in the driveway now... but if your still looking:
No, I've never found wiring diagrams on-line anywhere. If you suspect Fuel Pump, turn key to ON, not START. Fuel Pump should start up and run for about a second, then turn off. If you want to hear it again, just cycle the key to OFF and back to ON. The Fuel Pump Relay under the hood is a common problem.
Quickest way to get a wiring diagram cheap is to check your local AutoZone, whatever, for the Chilton or Haynes book the covers it. One book is 80-96 F-Series & Bronco, the other companies book is 87-96. These will give you the basic diagram, your on your own to find where connectors are or how the circuit is routed. Need the real manuals if you need that much detail.

Thank you Granpa! Well here it is Noon, and he still isn't here... but then, I lent him my Ranger to get around until the F150 is fixed, so mebbie he's really enjoyin himself out there somewhere...
I suspected that there would not be schematics of this kind online, even checked with AutoZone online last night also to check. I'm sure we'll get this figgered out soon.
Thanks again!!!
