Post ORP..new truck

I just bought a 97 F150 flareside, standard cab, 5.4 Triton. It has the off road package and the towing package. Being that it's used, there wasn't any info that came with it. My question is-- what all does the ORP include? And, is there more to the towing package than meets the eye? Like extra tranny cooling, etc? (Or just the hitch and electrical connector). ALso, where can I find specs about the truck....how many horses...does it have 3.55 gears, etc?
Thanks....I am really new at this. The only truck I've ever had is a 1979 Bronco!

Welcome Ginger. there is a ton of stuff on this already here. Try out the search function.

I will try to list the 97 ORP stuff from memory. If I miss something someone will come along and add it.

17 inch wheels and tires (look on the drivers door sticker to confirm it had it stock)

Skid plates (three of em, although you could option for them in 97 without gettting ORP)

HD Shocks (hard to tell as they could be aftermarket by now and might should have been replaced by now)

The ORP sticker (in all but the Lariat ORP)

To tell your rear end ratio you will need to examine the rear end housing. It's stamped on there. You most likey have 3.55's

Towing package gets you an auxilliary Tranny cooler and a engine oil cooler in the 5.4L.

If I remember correctly, the HP in 97 on the 5.4L was 240.

------------------
2000 F-250 Super Duty, SuperCab XLT, Oxford white with medium grey cloth captains chairs, 5.4L Triton V8 (260 HP - 345 FP Torque version!), 4R100 4 Speed Automatic Transmission, 3.73, 4 wheel ABS, Deluxe Aluminum Wheels, Trailer Towing Package, Class IV Hitch, Reece load distribution system, Escort Sensor II Electronic Brake controller, Sure Stop towing skirt, "Westin" black powder coated step bars, "White-White" head lamps, Herculiner bed liner, ISSPRO Tranny Temp Guage, Excursion center console, Ford moulded mud gaurds, K&N Air and Oil filter, Amsoil XL7500 5W-30, Air filter minder, Perma Cool 8" (800 CFM) Tranny Cooler Fan (manualy switched, Deflect-a-Sheild Aluminum Dimond plate Tool Box.

If the ford site has the features working now, you might be able to register the vehicle's VIN and get the sticker.
