Can it be done? Yes, it can be done !!! Just like swapping a 302 for a 351 in the older trucks.

Has it been done? Yes, it has been done.

If so, where can I get info? I really doubt Ford will give you that information. You would have to fly by the seat of your pants. No pun intended here once the motor is in the truck. Last year, Neal and I went to the Autorama in Detroit, MI. We were talking to one of the SVT guys there and mentioned about this truck that we had heard was running the streets of Detroit. He wouldn't actually tell us that it was on the road but from his facial expressions, he wrote a book. The truck was a F150, Reg. cab, short box with the V10 Supercharged. There was too many people around for him to talk about it.

The biggest things that you will have to take into consideration is to make sure you have the computer for it and you will have to go to electric fans for sure for front clearance when you move the engine mounts forward. This will need to be done so you don't have to play with the firewall at all. Also, you will have to lengthen various lines and maybe even re-locate some stuff. Keep us posted on whether or not you plan on doing this project.

Have Fun & Keep on Truckin'

Hokey schmokes!

A V10 supercharged in a shortbed? Wow, I bet they could put wings on that thing and fly it. It would be interesting to see what they did not only to get it in there, but also protect the rest of the chassis from ripping apart.

Ya, saw it at the la auto show. The chevy wasn't all that much to look at but the performance of that dodge, geez. Now just wait until someone put's a blower on it, it'll kill. hell, 500/500, that's the output of the viper!
Basically, the sign said, they took the stock V10 and stroked it out to something like 8L. Craziness, must get like 5gal/mi!

i saw that truck at the D-town autoshow. something about it makes me ill. a 500cid pickup at this day and age seems rediculous. i think it makes me ill bc all the "geniuses" at dodge couldn't come up w/ anything better than 1960's technology to make gobs of horsepower. it's about as original as the wheel. kinda pathetic and a great way to **** off a lot of tree huggers. they should have done something original like a diesel muscle truck that still got great mileage.

i dunno. maybe i'm just jelous?

V10 in F150?

Give these guys a shout, www.ultimatecustoms.com they fit stuff where stuff don't usually fit all the time. It's all a matter of how much you want to spend and with the CDN dollar the way it is now you can probably get a good deal.

Ask for Chris George, he's a stand up guy but be warned they are really busy and take some time to get back to you.

I actually had this idea a while back and though there was no way, but i guess I was wrong. Does anyone know the cost of this? That is what I would be interested in is the cost of the new block and parts, and fabrication(if necesarry).
