NORM,

I checked the code inside the passenger door Jam... It is CPE2.

Lightbulb

Our 99 S/C, 4.6L hit 103 MPH and was still climbing in RPM's. I just backed on out of throttle. I never want to drive it that fast again; however, it did ride smoother @ 100 than it did @ 90 MPH.

Our computer code is YBQ2. I did this experiment to see if rev. limiter would shut the engine back @ 100 MPH. Obviously, rev. limiter did not work like some F-150's.

Our F-150 was assembled in 11/98 and I special-ordered it with larger than stock, 16" tires.

Cool

HI!... Some of you guys must remember that there are only two goveners on the f-150's. One is at 97mph and the other is at 108mph. Some of the factory speedo's are off so it might seem lower or higher than that but that is the two limiters. My truck shut the fuel pump off at exactly 108mph, until I got my SUPERCHIP.

That story sounds very weird to me. Standard tires aren't rated for more than 108 mph or so. You were very lucky to not have shredded a tired and had a serious wreck.

navy chief no sarcasim intended but are saying your supercab 4x4 f150 can hang with a mustang gt from 70 to 135? even if the mustang is an auotmatic it has to run 14.8 to 15.1, 1/4 mile times

Am i the only one who has a hard time believing that?

i think that is in the area of what neals truck will go and his is not stock and is probably a 1000 pounds lighter.

Yeah, I dont believe it either. My wife and I had a 99GT automatic (had to get rid of it-baby on the way) and there is no way it would have had a problem with a normal truck. I witnessed a stock automatic GT identical to mine run a 9.01 (low 14 / high 13 in the quarter) in the eighth mile with nothing more than a K&N panel filter. I am one to root for underdogs, but I know better in this case. Besides, the real measure is how many Chevy's and Dodges he destroys. Git em!
