Rand,
When you checked the oil, had the truck been sitting on a level surface for a couple of hours?

After putting exactly six quarts in, I let the truck sit for awhile before checking. The level looks good at that point. After the truck has been running, I've checked the oil at a gas station and it appears low. I didn't add any oil because much of the oil is still in the engine and takes some time to find its way back to the pan.

Correct me if I'm wrong about this assumption.

I am an Amsoil dealer and have been using 0W30 since 3k miles. I now have 99k miles + and it doesn't burn a drop. I change oil/filter "SDF11" every 10k miles. I highly recommend this oil & filter to anyone considering using it. My dealer # is 399109 & name is Mark Breznay.

Good question!

It was all the way to the lowest position on the dip stick. I added a 1/2 a quart and its been between the marks no matter when or how I check it!

Weird? In computer terms, this could have been a PEBCAK (Problem Exists Between Chair And Keyboard)... Me?

Who knows... I have not checked it lately. Will do so tomorrow, if I can freaking sleep now, UG!
