Thumbs up Another satisfied WMS user!

Just installed my WMS Velocity Tube and K&N replacement filter. Overall the install was fairly easy. The air temp sensor was a little tight fitting in the supplied grommet, but isn't too bad. The only bad fitting piece was the cold air intake hose. The diameter of this hose is way too small to fit over the inlet of the air box. I just stuck it inside of the inlet tube for now.

Performance wise, it feels a lot better. I think it's actually quieter at idle than before. Not much noise at normal acceleration, but it sounds nice and throaty when you open it up.

All in all, I like it. I'm debating whether to run it as is for a while, or go ahead and install the Gibson Sweptside now. It's sitting by the door waiting for a good night to put it in right now.

Later, and good truckn'

I installed my velocity tube a couple of weeks ago and it does pretty good. I finally got my chip yesterday from Superchips(shipping problem) and it was well worth the money. The transmission shifts like a new one.It does EXACTLY like Mike Troyer at Superchips said it would. If you are thinking about a chip this one is it. Next project is the exhaust, this Friday.

Cool

F150Sven,

I have the same setup as you on my 4.6 V8, and love it! I think you will be quite pleased with the outcome of the WMS/Gibson combo! Of course, the Chip made a tremendous difference as well!

I haven't had a chance to put the exhaust on yet. I'm waiting for a half way cool day to to it, but there few and far between here in August.

The chip will probably be my next power adder, but down the road aways. I'm not ready to take the premium plunge

I am glad you guys like the WMS Velocity Tube, I had one and had problems with it. I had one of the earliest ones, and have heard they have improved it since then.
I now have the K&N FIPK and love it, really sounds cool when you push down on the gas pedal.
