I have a 98 150 with 4.6, It has these acc.
installed. What hp could I be making so far
K/N gen II fipk
custom dual exhaust with glasspacks and Hpipe
Hypertech power module and 160 deg. powerstat
I don't have a dyno close by so I am only
guessing at this point. I would app. any edu-
cated guesses you all can enlighten me with.
It def. feels alot faster than it did stock
and there is more speed goodies on the way...

 

I recently spoke with Mike Troyer about the 4.6 and some real world numbers that some of the more popular bolt-ons add. Mike Troyer is a big time motor head and works for SUPERCHIP. So their numbers come from a really good dyno. To answer your question it all depends on which tranny you have. Mike said you'll get more out of the 5-speed than you will the auto. The exhaust is worth 10hp, fipk 10, not sure what the hypertech does for you but I guess and say 15hp. Stock they come in around 220hp. So with the math done: 255 hp. But that's still just guessing.

detonation problems and was yanked
out fairly quickly. Thanks for the response
though, maybe I'll get a superchip now
that I've learned my lesson. Any body had
det. problems with these that you've heard of? I'm also curious about the abil
-ity of using my B/M shiftplus with a super
-chip. Will it freak out with two different
trans controls? I guess you can tell from
the last question that I have an AODE.
