why don't you quit wasting time monitoring us and DO THE RIGHT THING!!! fix what is broken, replace what is broken and stop stonewalling us! You might get away with this crap when you sell $12-15K trucks, but when you hit the $23-35K pricetag people don't put up with it. (not to say that the $12-15k buyers are not important but little annoyances: like the fantom wiper in our 95 manual shift ford ranger, was tolerable) stop wasting money on high priced attorneys and do what you have to do to make this go away. all of us on this forum and many others can't be wrong. we're not "making this up" and the power of the internet is here to stay!!! You are giving us a chance to unite, swap stories, and find out that we all have alot of the same issues. we're not asking for something for free, just what we paid for.....DO THE RIGHT THING!!!!! and get some new attorneys because the ones that you have now are just creating a bad image for you!!!

Yes, I know you had a piston slap problem, and after a couple of attempted fixes, the dealer offered to give you a new engine. You didnt want a new engine, you wanted a full vehicle refund.

So whats the problem now? Why are you here? Ford is not monitoring this board. Hey, your free to complain, just do it in a proper forum.

i am aware that this site is not run by ford. however, not to sound like the x-files, it is monitored by them. Many of these posts have been used in recent lawsuits about the "hysteria" created on this site and other like it. go to xpedition.com, they have a letter posted in the main menu under tsb's/ssm's, at fords request, they removed them (licensing law-a nice attorney type wrote them) My point is, this gives power and information to the people. Both good and bad. this piston slap issue is only an issue because these sites give people the infomation they need to validate the claim. we can't all be wrong. as time goes on this will come more to light so it is important that only factual, true, verifiable, information be given. as for my two admirers KILROY and RIOTROB (how productive could these two be with chosen names like that?) all I can say is thank you for making Mr. clinton president for the last eight years. Lets pretend that everythings ok. this forum has been an invaluable source of information both for and against my dispute with ford.

 

Other than it is probably in the wrong forum, I don't see the problem with Lemon's. What's the deal..If you don't hype up Ford trucks like they were made by "the man" himself, you get ridiculed and blackballed ?? Ford Motor and their trucks are not half as great as they (and alot of other people) think. Yeah, they are probably better than a few of their competitors but that's not saying a whole hell of alot. In my opinion Ford has some serious, and I mean SERIOUS, customer service and and quality control issues. You can quote me "Ford is rated #1 reports" all day but I'm not so impressed and won't be buying a Ford again.

Anyway, this board does not always have to be positive, that's not realistic. If post's get abusive that's one thing but speaking out against the "Fuhrer" (Ford) shouldn't bring death

I don't see what the problem is. He did post the message in the engine section, and after all, his problems stem from an engine problem. If Ford does monitor this site, and they probably do, (due to the amount of hits it receives and ranking in the search engines,) I couldn't think of a better way than to get their attention by exposing their poor P.R. and the weakness of a specific engine.

Although its hard for me to be impartial because I just dealt with poor service and salesmen that were trying to steal my
money. And I bought the truck anyway.

It's a hard world and I don't imagine FoMoCo loses any sleep over what's discussed here. The same dingaling bunch keeps right on whining and crying, promising empty threats of lawsuits over vague "problems," yet they keep right on buying Ford products and trading their lemons for new ones. A wasted effort to be sure.

TAKE it for what its worth.........I work for a Ford dealership and I know there is some problems with service. That is human nature of course. But you should hear the things about Dodge trucks. My goodness you would be so GLAD to have a Ford!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also the reports on the Chevrolet '99 Silverado is not too great by any means. Ford Does have problems and by the numbers its less of a % than Dodge or CMC.

i do think ford will lose sleep over this site.my dad looked at this site to help him buy a new ford.V8 or powerstroke.he went with the powerstroke for pulling a 19ft camper.the V8 will pull it easy.but he can now pull anything he wants.this site helped ford on that buy.so in turn it can hurt them to.when you look at this site it looks like are fords all have stuff worng with them.most the stuff people say is like "i need more power,this is broke,ford PR sucks,hard to get stuff fixed by them.this is what people see when they come here.their is more bad said then good.not to many people say they have all the power they need.not to many people say how good thier truck run or how ford moves quick to fix stuff.most people bitch about their truck.either they need more power or it's broke.if you don't come to the site more then once this is what you think.the next day the guy that was bitching loves his truck,it run like a gem.i love my ford,never will but another truck.well a new ford.but i have bitched about my truck to.you read that one post i put up you would think my truck does this alot.only the people that come here all the time see the good stuff.if i work at ford i would watch this site.the site lets people know that other people have the same proble they do.and ford is tell them their truck runs right.the more the people know the more it will cost them to fix.to recall something lets say it take 30,000 times of fixing for a recall, the more people know the faster they get to that number.you can't tell 30,000 people that their worng and thier truck is fine.this costs them alot of money.i don't think ford likes this site.it tell everyone how to add power.this means more truck in the shop.for trans,rearend,and stuff that the added power did to the truck.but they have to prove thet the mods did this to the truck.that cost tham money to.well i'm done now.
