I will start this one. I just filled up today. Ran 226 miles of all stop and go local driving. I used 21.546 gallons for a whopping 10.489 MPG. I drive a 2002 5.4 litre F150 Lariat extended cab 2WD
When my odometer reads 224miles i know i have to fill up. I have not had the time to figure gas mileage but i run 35's with 3:55 rearend. Its stop and go city driving. I plan on installing 4:10's in March. If thats going to be the best gearing for my driving??
My personel worst, 99 Expedition EB 4X4 pulling a 6.5% grade for about 20 miles, and fighting a 70 MPH headwind, 6MPG. I wasn't even towing, and just two of us in the truck.
My worst so far is 12mpg, and this was right after I got my new exhaust installed. I had to hear that new "grunt". Haven't towed anything substantial yet....only my ATV trailer.
11.8 mpg pulling a 3,000 lb trailer at 75mph back from Denver bucking a crosswind. I was paying for those 3:08's! A very close second was 12.0 mpg during a cold snap last year when the temp didn't go above zero.
I achieved a whopping 6.5 this November. Temp was -20 F, using that crap ethanol fuel, in 4x4 the whole time, and with PLENTY of warm up time. See Sig.
