Question Slight ticking sound when at idel ?

Last night I got out of my truck while it was ideling and noticed that it has a ticking noise. I lifted the hood and tried to hear where it was coming from. The only thing I can think of was it was the injectors. Those things make a lot of noise. Is it normal to hear them with the hood shut and the truck just ideling there? When I rev the truck, the noise seems to also speed up? Is it the injectors that make this noise?

I have a 98 with the 4.6L. 40,000 miles.

Mine does also.
It most likely is just the injectors.
