Not again... V8 vs V6

Well, here we go again. First off, let me state that I used to have a V6, and had all the basic mods on it too. And yes, I got stomped by V-8's on a regular basis- light to light, getting on the freeway, you name it. I eventually gave up. I use my new truck for truck stuff- towing, hauling around important stuff like my girlfriend, etc. But, I have modded it a bit, and while I DO NOT STREET RACE (mostly due to my chosen profession), I do go to legal venues every now and then.
HIM: 4.2L 5 speed, Reg. Cab. FIPK, Flowmaster. Cool stickers.

Me: 4.6L, Auto, 3.55's, SUPER cab, FIPK, Bullet, 3" cat back. No cool stickers though- may have helped on the weight!

The results: Him: 16.72 @ 83 MPH

Me: 15.65 @ 86 MPH

He told me he "missed a shift" and demanded a re-race. I was going to before I saw him get WHUPPED by a Honda Civic DX at 16.20 to his 16.50. No thanks. 'nuff said.

Let the storm begin

palerider,

Sounds like the other driver didn't know how to drive a stick. My slowest race was
1st to 2nd to 5th to 3rd. Lost a couple of seconds on that run. It is hard to get it right all the time when you are stwitching gears using an 18 inch stick. There is something wrong with his driving. My best was 16.390 @ 82.86mph 5200 lbs. Do you still have the time slip? What were the 60 ft and reaction times?

Regards
